A Sustainable Management Plan (SMP) provides a detailed and quantifiable strategy for achieving sustainable outcomes in medium-to-large developments at the town planning stage. Many councils require an SMP when a project exceeds certain size or complexity thresholds, particularly for multi-unit residential, mixed-use, and commercial projects.
